Terms of use

• You may read, download, share and quote PRI's publications, data stories and open datasets for research, teaching, journalism, policy work and other non-commercial purposes.
• Please credit PRI whenever you use our work. Each dataset page shows a suggested citation; for publications, cite the title, PRI and the date.
• If a dataset or publication states its own licence or conditions, those apply instead.
• For commercial use, or to republish a whole publication, please ask us first at contact@priresearch.in.

Some datasets are available on request or only to PRI staff. If you are given access to one, use it only for the purpose you described, do not share the files with others, and follow any conditions attached to the approval. We may withdraw access if these conditions are not met.

You need a free account to download datasets. Give accurate details when you sign up and confirm your email address. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend accounts that are misused, for example ones created to collect data in bulk.

When you send us a message or an application, make sure the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Do not upload anything unlawful, harmful or that belongs to someone else.

Do not try to break into, overload or disrupt the website, get around access limits, or collect information from it in bulk in ways that strain it or ignore these terms.

We work to make our research and data accurate, but they are provided as they are. PRI's analyses and opinions are our own, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the website's content. Where we find an error, we will correct it.

We link to other websites, such as news coverage and payment pages. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Donations are made through Razorpay, UPI or bank transfer, outside this website, and are subject to those services' terms. Contact us for receipts and for questions about tax deductions under Section 80G.

We may update these terms; the date above shows when they last changed.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Malappuram, Kerala have jurisdiction.
