Dataset · Education
Number of students in schools in each district of Kerala by management (government, aided, unaided) and sex (boys, girls, all), from the District Wise Strength pages of Sametham, the General Education Department's school data bank run by KITE, for the academic years 2018-19, 2019-20, 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2026-27. The 2018-19 and 2019-20 pages are titled 'Enrollment of student as on 6th working day (provisional)', the later ones 'Students strength'. Each row is one district (or the Kerala total), academic year and measure. Schools held 3,411,198 students in 2026-27 (1,033,009 in government, 380,573 in unaided schools), down from 3,833,399 in 2022-23. Use it to compare enrolment and the shift between government, aided and unaided schools across districts.
