Description
The Reserve Bank of India compiles the budgets of the State Governments and the UTs of Delhi, Puducherry and Jammu and Kashmir into its annual study State Finances: A Study of Budgets. When the State Government securities outstanding at end-March fall due. For each State and UT the table gives the amount maturing in each of the following years, in rupees crore, and the same as percent of the total outstanding, for the stock held at end-March 2023, 2024 and 2025. The last bucket collects all later maturities. It shows how repayment pressure is spread over the coming years. Three editions are included (2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26). Each edition gives the accounts of the year before last, the revised estimate of last year and the budget estimate of the budget year, so a year can appear in several editions with different estimate types and slightly different values. The table has 3,162 rows, one per State or UT, reference period, estimate type and measure, with the State name as printed beside its LGD code.
