Projected mid-year population (as on 1 July) of each district of Kerala, split into the population of rural and of urban registration units (panchayats and municipalities/corporations under the civil registration system), as printed in Table A1 of the Annual Vital Statistics Report of the Department of Economics and Statistics for each year from 2015 to 2023. These are the official denominators used for birth, death and other per-capita rates in Kerala between censuses. Each row is one district (or the Kerala total), year and area type; the page and file of each edition are listed under Source documents; the total population is rural + urban. Kerala's projected mid-year population was 35,562,094 in 2023 (27,689,895 rural, 7,872,199 urban). Use it to compute per-capita indicators by district for 2015-2023.
