Number of community health centres (CHCs), primary health centres (PHCs, including 96 urban PHCs under the National Health Mission) and sub-centres in each district of Kerala in 2021-22, with each district's Census 2011 population and the population served by one CHC, PHC and sub-centre. Published by the Comptroller and Auditor General in Report No. 6 of 2024 (Public Health Infrastructure and Management of Health Services, Government of Kerala), Table 5.1, from Directorate of Health Services data for 2021-22. Kerala had 185 CHCs, 985 PHCs and 5,414 sub-centres for 33.4 million people (Census 2011): one CHC per 180,573, one PHC per 33,915 and one sub-centre per 6,170 persons. Each row is one district (or the Kerala total) and one measure. Use it to compare primary health care coverage across districts against IPHS population norms.
