The Ministry of Education's Performance Grading Index for Districts grades every district on its school education system each year. This dataset gives, for each of Kerala's 14 districts and each year from 2018-19 to 2025-26, the total PGI-D score out of 600, the district's grade (e.g. UTTAM-2, UTTAM-3, PRACHESTA-1) and the score in each of the six categories with the category's maximum: Outcomes (290), Effective Classroom Transaction (90), Infrastructure, Facilities and Student Entitlements (51), School Safety and Child Protection (35), Digital Learning (50) and Governance Processes (84). A share-of-maximum column makes categories comparable. Use it to compare districts and regions on learning outcomes and school governance, and to follow each district over eight years.
