Description

Cases pending in the district and subordinate courts of Kerala (civil and criminal courts below the High Court) on the capture date, 2 November 2026, as shown on the National Judicial Data Grid. Each row gives the number of pending cases for the state or one of its 14 districts, for civil or criminal cases, in one of seven age bands (0 to 1 years up to above 30 years since the case was filed). On the capture date 10,676,472 cases were pending in the state, civil and criminal together. Age is time since filing, so the bands show how long the backlog has waited, not how long cases are expected to take. The state rows equal the sum of the 14 district rows. Use it to compare district backlogs and to see how much of the stock is more than five years old.
