State-wise allocation, offtake and distribution of foodgrains under the National Food Security Act, India, April to August 2026

Foodgrains (rice and wheat, in thousand tonnes) that the Government of India allocated to each of the 36 states and union territories under the National Food Security Act, how much each state lifted from the central pool (offtake) and how much it distributed, with the all-India row. Quantities are split into Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) households, priority households (PHH) and, for allocation and offtake, the tide-over quantity, with a total. Each bulletin gives the figures for its own month and cumulatively for the financial year so far; this dataset keeps both (scope month and year_to_date) for each bulletin month from May to August 2026, and the month scope only for April 2026 (see limitations). In August 2026 (quantities in thousand tonnes) Kerala was allocated 118.754, lifted 120.867 and had distributed 25.347 by the date of the bulletin, against 4,607.409 allocated, 3,788.077 lifted and 2,570.659 distributed in India as a whole. Use it to compare how much of the central allocation each state lifts and how that moves through the year; it is not household-level entitlement and has no district detail.
