Delivery and postnatal care indicators for each district of Kerala from the fifth National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5, fieldwork 2019-21), Table 53 'Delivery and postnatal care by district' of the Kerala state report: percentage of live births in the five years before the survey delivered in a public, a private and any health facility, assisted by health personnel and delivered by caesarean section, and percentage of women with a live birth who had a postnatal check within two days of their most recent birth, with the number of births and of women the percentages are based on. Each row is one district (or Kerala) and one measure. In Kerala 99.8% of births took place in a health facility (65.7% private) and 38.9% were by caesarean section, ranging from 25.5% in Malappuram to 57.6% in Pathanamthitta. Use it to compare the place and mode of delivery across districts, with the sample sizes in mind.
