The yearly energy balance of the Kerala power system as published by the Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL): internal generation, power purchase from central stations, private producers and traders, losses on the external PGCIL lines, open access injections and purchases, sales inside and outside the state, and the resulting transmission and distribution loss. Eighteen indicators are given for each financial year from 2013-14 to 2023-24, in million units (MU) or per cent. The state buys most of its power, so purchase against internal generation and the loss percentages show how the system is changing. Use it to compare supply with sales and to follow loss reduction.
