Dataset · Health
Number of cases and deaths reported for each communicable disease in each district of Kerala, by calendar year, as printed in the district tables of the yearly "Data on Communicable Diseases" reports of the Directorate of Health Services (State Surveillance Unit, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme), 2011 to 2025. The reports up to 2021 cover 15-19 diseases (dengue, malaria, chikungunya, leptospirosis, hepatitis A/B, cholera, typhoid, acute diarrhoeal disease, scrub typhus, AES, H1N1 and fever outpatients/inpatients); from 2022 they list 30-33, many split into confirmed and probable cases. Each row is one district, year and disease, with the report page it was read from; disease names are kept exactly as printed. Kerala recorded 74,210 dengue cases (confirmed and probable) and 141 dengue deaths in 2024, against 1,304 cases in 2011. Use it to compare the disease burden across districts and to follow outbreaks over time.
