The Census of India 2011 table C-01 for Kerala: the population of the state, its 14 districts, 63 taluks (sub-districts) and 520 towns by religious community. For persons, males and females it gives the number of Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, followers of other religions and persuasions, and people whose religion was not stated, plus the all-religions total. The state, districts and taluks have total, rural and urban rows; towns are urban. Each row is one unit, area type and religious community. It is the only official religion count below district level in Kerala and the denominator for religion-wise rates; the all-religions totals match PRI-DEM-0002 and PRI-DEM-0003 (Kerala 33,406,061).
