Number of buildings newly constructed and completed in each district of Kerala in a financial year, as compiled by the Housing Statistics cell of the Department of Economics and Statistics, split into residential and non-residential buildings. The rural series starts in 2001-02; urban figures and the rural plus urban total are available from 2015-16, and all three run to 2021-22. Each row is one district, one financial year and one area (rural, urban or total). Use it to follow how construction activity differs across districts and between rural and urban Kerala. Numbers count buildings, not dwellings or floor area.
