Dataset · Education
The state-wise tables of the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) final reports for 2011-12 to 2015-16 and 2019-20 to 2023-24, from the Excel workbooks published with each report, in one long table: 34 to 39 tables a year on universities and colleges by type, estimated and actual enrolment by level, mode, social group and minority status, foreign students, teachers and non-teaching staff by post, sex and social group, gross enrolment ratio (GER), gender parity index (GPI), pupil-teacher ratio, hostels and out-turn. Each row is one state or union territory (or All India), report year, AISHE table number and column (measure, the flattened column headings such as 'Ph.D. | Female'), with the table title. Kerala's GER for ages 18-23 in 2023-24 is 41.2 (girls 49.1, boys 33.7) and its GPI 1.46. Use it to compare Kerala's higher education with other states; select one table_id at a time, because tables differ in units and meaning.
